The gospel: the triumphant declaration that God, holy and righteous, is redeeming the world through Christ (Matt 1:21; Luke 1:68; Eph 1:7; Col 1:20), calling everyone everywhere to repent from sin and trust Jesus Christ for salvation (Mark 1:15; Acts 2:38; 17:30). In response to the Gospel, we are called to go into all the world and make disciples of Jesus Christ. This year, we welcome Conrad Mbewe back from Zambia who will challenge us to consider “The Mission of Christ & His Church in the World.” As in previous year we will provide a series of practical workshops addressing topics in each of our lives and ministries. As a result of this special weekend, we pray you will be emboldened to stand for what’s of first importance: the gospel of Jesus Christ. We look forward to seeing you here!
“… the mission of the church is go into all the world and make disciples by declaring the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Spirit and gather these disciples into churches, that they might worship and obey Jesus Christ now and in eternity to the glory of God the Father.” (DeYoung, Kevin, and Greg Gilbert. What Is the Mission of the Church?: Making Sense of Social Justice, Shalom, and the Great Commission. Wheaton, Ill: Crossway, 2011.)
“I have nothing else to rely upon but the fact that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived, died, was buried, rose again, went to heaven, and still lives and pleads for sinners at the right hand of God.” – C. Spurgeon
In addition to the above schedule, we have received permission to screen JŌB the film from 1:30-2:15 on the Saturday afternoon.
Blessings in Christ,
Calvyn Jonker & Joe Fleener
