    • QTC welcomes pastors, ministry workers, ministry trainees, and theological students to attend a series of 8 lectures given by Dr D.A. Carson on the New Testament’s use of the Old Testament.  This event is ideal for in-service training.

The lectures will be held at the Abel Smith Lecture Theatre, University of QLD (click for map, building 23, J7).

The programme will run from 9.30am-2.30pm both days, with four lectures held on each day.

Morning Tea will be provided but attendees will need to supply their own lunch.

Full priced tickets are $30.00 per person, per day.

Early Bird tickets are $25.00 per person, per day and are on sale until 20 May.

‘Carson Combo’ tickets – Dr Carson will also be speaking at a public evening event on Thursday 12th May (see DA Carson – Public Evening Event for more information). If you wish to attend the two days of lectures plus the public evening event select the ‘Carson Combo’ ticket (saves $15.00).

    • However, the NIV has been the Bible translation that a couple of generations of evangelical Christians have almost uniformly grown up with. So one very large factor in favour of adopting NIV11 is in the continuity it provides, since NIV11 keeps 95% of the text of the original NIV. Familiar memory verses and the scriptural echoes that rattle round in your head will normally be unchanged. So in the end, our research suggested that NIV11 was an improvement over the old NIV, of approximately equal quality to the HCSB, and that there were no features sufficiently poor to rule it out. It’s the NIV11 for us from here.
    • Only love for Christ can defend the heart of the pastor against all other loves that have the potential to kidnap his ministry
    • Thankfulness for the grace of Christ expresses itself in grace to others. Gratitude for the patience and forgiveness of Christ enables you to be patient and forgiving of others. Your daily experience of the rescue of the gospel gives you a passion for people experiencing the same rescue. This is the soil in which true ministry success grows.
